It can be hard to take the first step to seek counselling for anxiety, depression and grief. You are not alone.

Ever find it hard to want to get out of bed in the morning because of anxiety and depression? When…

  • You’re not sure who you are anymore or where you belong, it might be time for counselling.

  • You no longer feel a sense of joy or fulfillment; You are just not happy on the inside despite your outward appearance, it might be time to talk to someone about this.

  • You no longer want to spend time with family or friends; You know your relationships are suffering, but really don’t have the energy for them, therapy might just be what helps you stop the struggle.

  • You are just so tired ALL the time no matter how much you sleep, seeking support might be helpful.

  • Even though you are tired, you don’t sleep well at night; your mind can’t stop racing about what you could have or should have said or done in past situations and all the things you should do but can’t because you have no emotional or physical energy, you might need the support of a counsellor.

  • You are plagued with nightmares and flashbacks, processing what is causing this just might help you sleep better.

  • You are jumpy and triggered all the time; Your concentration levels are at an all time low, it might be time to take the next step.

If any of this sounds familiar, it’s time to take control of your life and get the help you deserve. Call or send a message today to get your life back on track!

Walk and talk therapy is just that. When the weather is nice, let’s walk and talk at one of the local trails. Being in nature is phenomenal for the mind, spirit and body. On days that may be too cool or when the weather is not great, we can meet in the warmth of the office.

The effects of trauma can affect every aspect of life. It can rob you of your happiness, independence and self-worth. Intensive retreats can help you process the negative events in a condensed time frame so that you can move forward in your life more quickly.

Hi. I’m Leanne.

One of the greatest challenges that all humans face is the struggle to reconcile our inner thoughts with the strength that lies within us. In fact, did you know that that the average person has many more negative thoughts a day than positive ones? These thoughts can come from traumatic experiences, lack of connection to those around us, and some even appear to arise out of the blue. This can cause us to struggle, leaving us feeling anxious and depressed. Learning to manage these thoughts, and the feelings that surround their presence is, in my opinion, one of the great lessons we can learn in life.

I enjoy helping adults and teens connect to their sense of self-worth and their innate healing abilities. I believe that no one should struggle alone. It is through the therapeutic relationship that we build together, and the strengths hidden within you, that my expertise and clinical knowledge will help grow and uncover your healing potential.

As a registered social worker in the province of Ontario, I value continued education and strive to bring my clients some of the best therapies in the world to alleviate their struggles. I have been working in social work for approximately 10 years and possess a Masters in Social Worker degree from Laurier University in Waterloo, along with a Bachelor of Social Work from Rension College at the University of Waterloo. I have worked in many fields, including child welfare, domestic violence, with the aging and terminally ill populations, and within one of the local school boards. I look forward to bringing the experience and expertise that I have gained to you to help you regain control of your life.
